In that game, there were seven party members, and the system allowed players to hear seven distinct perspectives. Even if these couldn't be trusted as truly independent opinions from seven different individuals (even if the scenario writer had written all the lines for the seven characters), the presence of multiple, non-overlapping viewpoints still carried power as a form.
